Agreement to Terms
By using contacts2notion, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this software.
Description of Service
contacts2notion is an open-source tool that syncs contact information between Google Contacts and Notion databases. The software:
- Provides 2-way synchronization between Google Contacts and Notion
- Uses OAuth 2.0 to access your Google Contacts data
- Uses the Notion API to read and write to your Notion database
- Can be run locally or via GitHub Actions
Open Source Software
contacts2notion is provided as open-source software under the MIT License. The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. You can:
- Use the software for personal or commercial purposes
- Modify the source code
- Distribute copies of the software
- Self-host the application

User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google OAuth credentials and Notion API tokens
- Ensuring you have the right to sync the contact data you're processing
- Complying with Google's and Notion's respective Terms of Service
- Any data you choose to sync or store using this tool
- Backing up your data before using this software
Third-Party Services
This software interacts with third-party services that have their own terms:
- Google: By using contacts2notion, you agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Notion: You must comply with Notion's Terms and Conditions
- GitHub: If using GitHub Actions, you must comply with GitHub's Terms of Service
Data Usage and Privacy
contacts2notion:
- Does not collect, store, or transmit your data to any third-party servers
- Acts solely as a client-side sync tool between Google and Notion
- Stores OAuth tokens locally or in your GitHub repository secrets

Disclaimer of Warranties
contacts2notion is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose

- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of contacts2notion shall not be liable for any:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or profits
- Service interruptions
- Errors or bugs in the software
- Unauthorized access to your accounts
You use this software at your own risk.
Data Loss Prevention
Important: While contacts2notion is designed to sync data safely, you should:
- Back up your Google Contacts and Notion database before first use
- Test the sync with a small subset of contacts first
- Review the sync behavior before running automated workflows
- Understand that syncing can modify or delete data in both Google and Notion
API Rate Limits and Quotas
You are responsible for staying within the rate limits and quotas of:
- Google People API (typically 600 requests per minute per user)
- Notion API (3 requests per second)
- GitHub Actions (2,000 free minutes per month for private repositories)
Exceeding these limits may result in service interruptions or additional charges from the respective providers.
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the software at any time
- Update these Terms of Service
- Change features or functionality
Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Termination
You may stop using contacts2notion at any time by:
- Revoking Google OAuth access at Google Account Permissions
- Deleting the Notion integration
- Removing the software from your system
- Disabling GitHub Actions workflows
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to open-source software, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

contacts2notion is a personal project with no guaranteed support. However, you may:

There is no guaranteed response time or support obligation.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the developers of contacts2notion regarding the use of this software.
Note: This is free, open-source software. These terms are designed to protect both users and developers while maintaining transparency about how the software works. By using contacts2notion, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these terms.
